Schedule of Talks
This workshop series strives to maintain a very friendly and relaxed informal nature. Only black board talks are allowed, for instance, and lively discussions during and in between presentations are strongly encouraged.
Talks will not be recorded. However, we do have a mobile video unit (i.e. Skype robot) that workshop participants can use to watch talks remotely. If you'd like to use it, please email [email protected] a few days before the talk.

Venue
Here is a map of Caltech with important locations marked. Talks will be held in the following locations:
- Week 1 (July 2-6): Hameetman Auditorium, Cahill Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics (17 on the map).
- Week 2 (School, July 8-14): East Bridge, Room 201 (33E on the map).
- Week 3 (July 16,17,19,20): Hameetman Auditorium, Cahill Center for Astronomy and Astrophysics (17 on the map).
- Week 3 (July 18): Ahmanson Classroom, Huntington Library and Gardens (map)
- Week 4 (July 23-27): East Bridge, Room 201 (33E on the map).
The high-energy theory area on the 4th floor of Downs-Lauritsen (47 on the map) is available as collaboration and work space. We have also reserved some classrooms: Lauritsen 469, Lauritsen 269 (afternoons), and Downs Laboratory 103, 107, and B111 (first floor and basement of the same building).
Special Activities and Events
This list is preliminary as of June 3.
- July 2, 6:00-8:00pm: Welcome reception, 4th floor of Downs-Lauritsen (47 on the map).
- July 4, 2:00-9:30pm: Americafest. Food, entertainment, and fireworks at the Rose Bowl. Tickets can be purchased at the event.
- July 8, 6:00-8:00pm: Welcome reception, 4th floor of Downs-Lauritsen (47 on the map).
- July 11, 6:30pm: Banquet for workshop and school participants at the Caltech Athenaeum (61 on the map).
- July 15, 1:10pm: LA Dodgers vs. Anaheim Angels baseball game. We have purchased a limited number of tickets for workshop participants. Please email Tracy Mikuriya ([email protected]) if you would like to come.
- July 16 and 17, 2:00pm-5:00pm: Bootstrap Hackathon, Lauritsen 469. Discuss and work on bootstrap-related software.
- July 18: Day at the Huntington Library (map). We will have morning talks at the library, and the afternoon will be free time for exploring the gardens.
- July 25, 9:00am: Hike at Eaton Canyon (map). Details TBA.
